"solar & lunar harmonics represent the real maskuline & feminine principles in action",
which explains the universal father & the mother principle that all spirits are required to attune to, in order to complete one's charge and to attain total balance/harmony.....

sun produces one zodiac's harmony in one month,
whereas,
moon produces one zodiac harmony in approx 2 tithis.....
sun's one full zodiac harmony is called a year/Varsh and, moon's full zodiac harmony is called a month/mās.....

now, just like sun produces one zodiac harmony in a month, therefore, sun has 12 major harmonies to produce in a year..... similarly,
moon produces two different harmonies (ascending & descending) in a month in its waxing & waning phase in 15 & 15/16 days.....

"one tithi is primarily one harmonic"

each tithi/lunar day is one harmony and, that's how the 16 harmonies are produced which in Vedic scripts are called shodākshari (षोडाक्षरी), means 16 seed harmonics.....

surprise to mention here is that each Vedic deity is assigned and represented by a specific harmonics of specific months viz. ganesh chaturthi- the fourth lunar harmonic, rishi panchami- the fifth lunar harmonic, skand shashthi- sixth lunar harmonic etc., which marks the birthing point of that archetypal energy on that day.....

to revise:
the Volume effect (high/low) of the sun's monthly harmonics are based on the season, e.g. sun plays full Volume in summer but, low Volume in winters..... however,
the Volume effect for the moon is in ascending & descending order based on the moon's waxing & waning phase, e.g. ascending musical notes during waxing phase (shukla paksh) and, descending musical notes during waning phase (krishna paksh).
